Oh, Stan...

Hmm. This is supposed to be the first volume in a series of Stan Lee plotted stories. And whew boy, was this ever Stan Lee plotted. Basically, Marvel Comics (aka Fantasy Factor) is losing sales to DC (aka Dynasty Comics) because of the grim and gritty storytelling that started in 1986. (Note how this story is already way past it's freshness date.) Somehow the artist of "Vixens" brings over two giants from another dimension. I'm not sure if we are supposed to ever believe they aren't evil, but somehow the idiots in this New York City believe they are good. It's all very odd and long wided.

The art starts off well but basically deteriorates as we go from Gibbons to Jurgens to two other guys. At one point there is a completely new, red-headed, female in place of the brown-haired, male giant. Huh? How'd that get through edit? It's all very generic and mostly boring.
