Old school Bats done right

Overall, this was really, really good. Marshall Rogers art and colors are really excellent throughout and the story is, generally, very good. There are a couple times when things get off track in the writing, but a lot of times the narration is almost poetic and each issue is a great individual piece that's a perfect section of the whole.

The only thing I'd really complain about is the main story here is Detective #469-476 by Englehart and Rogers (art by Simonson on #469). It's got The Joker, Deadshot, The Penguin, Hugo Strange and some crazy character named Dr. Phosporus. It's a freaking blast in all its 17-page issue glory. Then they skip #477 and finish the trade with Clayface III by Wein and Rogers. Just seemed strange. No less strange than Bruce moving into the penthouse of Wayne Enterprises and having a Batcave put under the building though (when the did that happen?).
