I am not a hulk follower, but I have enjoyed some of the recent stories. Events like World War Hulk got me reading some of the hulk material. So, naturally I picked up the new Hulk series to see what was going on. And, no sooner than I read a couple of issues and a King-Size companion shows up. So, I forked over the $4.99 to see what was up.
I enjoyed this book. I don’t like being left in the dark wondering what happened between panels (like when the Red Hulk snatched She Hulk), so this book fills in a few gaps. Not only does it fill in some gaps, but it gives some great history concerning Betty Ross and Abomination. As I said, I am not an avid Hulk reader, so I needed a history lesson.
This issue is also packed with some classic stories. For me, they were very fun to read. I enjoyed the entire issue and read it cover to cover. Not the greatest story telling, but still fun.
