Oh No, not the clones

Fans still joke about the Spider-Man clone saga of the 90's... so why not revisit it in the 09's? This issue continues a story that began in Amazing Spider-Man Annual 36.

As this new story unfolds, we see flash backs of a time when Ben Reilly worked with Damon Ryder helping him to combine dinosaur DNA with human DNA.

In the nasty now and now, a wild looking Damon Ryder visits Peter at the Frontline offices, and and Dr. Ryder is not happy. He thinks Peter is Ben Reilly.

This story is actually interesting to me. It filled in some gaps, and left me wanting more. Marc Guggenheim does a great job of crafting this story line with suspense and intrigue. And the end of the story leaves us with yet another clone from the past, so the cliff hanger was very cool.

The art work was great. Marco Checchetto did the current art, and Luke Ross and Rick Magyar did the flash back art. The different styles really added to the effect of the different time lines interwoven through out the issue.

All in all, a great start and an interesting read. I enjoyed this issue very much.
