A small-town inventor creates an artificial being in his basement which everyone considers a monster. The man and his beast alike are reviled, until one day the monster goes on a rampage and ends up at the bottom of the ocean. We learn that the creature saw it as the only course to erase the stigma from his creator, and that the compassion of the monster was greater than mans'. 7 pages.

In the 21st century, man has come to depend on robots for all manner of tasks, making some think that man has gotten complacent. When a man's wife buys a robot companion for their son, the man is irked, and plans to sabotage the robot, until the robot saves his son's life. 5 pages.

The world's richest man seeks a fabled wishing stone, so that he can wish happiness for the world. He hires a treasure hunter to guide him, an evil man, who, once the stone is found, betrays his client, leaving him trapped for dead. The treasure hunter wishes to be the world's richest man, and, in a twist of fate, switches bodies with his trapped client. 5 pages.
